They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This picture was taken in Bat Yam, Israel, a little town on the Mediterranean Sea, where I lived for 20 years.
Bat Yam means “The Daughter of the Sea” It’s a very beautiful place with 3.2 km (2 mi) long promenade along the ocean lined with many café’, pubs and restaurants.
The city has six beaches, one of which is protected by a breakwater. When I lived in Israel, I used to come here often to breath the fresh air of the sea, to rest from the day heat and to see wonderful sunsets.
In Israel it’s hard to find a quite place. People are everywhere. Even in the very early morning hours many people are already at the beach.
In Bat Yam, Israel there are many hotels, you can always hear foreign languages, because of many visitors coming and staying in Israel for vacation. They choose Bat Yam, Israel because it’s a very lively and exotic area. Many different ethnic groups of people live in Bat Yam, Israel. There are many secular Jews as well as a ultra orthodox religious groups. There are Jews from Russia, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Morocco, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Poland, France and more.
So many wonderful memories associated with this place. Some of my best songs were born in my soul right here, in Bat Yam, Israel. I just want to praise my Adonai (Lord) for bringing me here again and again. Thank you, Abba for your love and faithfulness. “I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.” (Psalm 63:4)
